Home Details and Media Hub Redesign
Role
Full ownership and execution of the user experience and interface design
In close collaboration with Product owner and Engineering partners
Situation
The Home Detail Page (HDP) was not legally compliant with MLS (Multiple Listing Service) requirements due to mixing 3rd party and Pacaso listing information
Photos, videos, 3D walkthroughs and other media for home listings did not have a single location, leading to poor engagement
Status tags that represent availability, state of interior design, and more cluttered the home image
Task
Solve the MLS compliance issue by separating 3rd party and 1st party home details
Clean up the home photo while improving readability of status tags
Improve engagement with media
Ensure consistency between Web, Mobile Web, and native applications
Figure 1: Before the update
Combining home name with 1/8 share ownership price created legal noncompliance for the company and had to be addressed ASAP.
